PRESS RELEASE
JODAN RELEASES GOSPEL CD – ‘GOD IS IN THE STORM’

After an absence of almost 3 years, Jodan has released his long awaited Gospel CD, “God Is In The Storm”

Jodan has already produced two CD’s for the secular market namely the self-titled Jodan that was produced by Dennis East and released through BMG Africa (Vat 5 Musiek), and the Patricia Lewis label. For his second album, Water, he once again used the services of Dennis East as producer. Gospel has always been his first love and it has been one of his dreams to bring out a gospel album.

This album contains beautiful old cover versions, like “Stand by Me”, an Elvis Presley song, “Oh Calvary’s Lamb”, by Sandi Patti, “Put A Little Love In Your Heart”, as well as more contemporary sounds like “Lifesong” by Casting Crowns. This album will undoubtedly take the listener on a special journey that reaches into the depths of every listener’s heart and soul. A journey of praise with songs like “I Wanna Sing” and “I Will Speak Out” and worship songs “I Love You” and “You Alone”, and knowing that even when things are not going the way you planned, and you are facing difficult times, “God Is In The Storm” just as He is by “Still Waters”.

This journey has also been a significant journey for Jodan, and this is evident in the beautiful songs “Heaven Will Be A Place” and “Hear This Prayer” that was written and composed by him more than a decade ago. The theme song and name of the album, “God Is In The Storm”, was written and composed by the well-known JJ Odendaal, who was also the producer on this album.

Jodan’s voice can be best described as soul stirring and instantly recognizable. In a time when so many artists sound alike, it is refreshing to hear someone of Jodan’s caliber – a soulful singer, whose love for Christ is quite evident in the songs he sings as well as his stage presence.

The CD will be available from June 2007, at all leading music outlets.
